To insure that each and every customer is provided with excellent service and the cleanest conditions, at the checkout and throughout the market. In the absence of the Service Supervisor, or as assigned, this position entails supervising, developing and motivating all associates at the checkout through proper training, scheduling and direct participation in checkout activities.


Responsibilities Include:

1. Observe and enforce all market rules and company policies.

2. Maintain effective work schedules for front-end personnel to meet business volume and traffic requirement; minimize customer inconvenience and excessive waiting periods.

3. Ensure that cashiers are assisted with price checks in a prompt and timely manner.

4. Keep market management informed of pricing problem areas or items that are not on file in front-end computers or electronic point-of-sale price look up files.

5. Inform market management promptly of cash register or scale problems/malfunctions.

6. Ensure proper bagging procedures by front-end personnel including drive-up/carry-out service of all customer purchases to their respective vehicles.

7. Control inventory of all front-end supplies including proper replenishment, as required, in the checkstands.

8. All other duties and assignments as directed.
