The Deli Service Clerk helps in any way possible in the total operation of the Deli Department. The Deli Service Clerk's primary duties are serving customers, preparing, packaging, dating, pricing, and merchandising deli products and fish.
- Assisting in the preparation of deli products;
salads, sandwiches, and hot case items
- Cutting, slicing, and packaging meats and cheeses
- Monitoring products for quality and freshness
- Understanding proper use of scales, ensuring prices, weights, and tares are accurate
- Assisting in the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of deli equipment
- Maintaining a high level of morale within the Market
